ABOUT

We're building Herbie for the parent we keep meaning to call.

Herbie is built by a small team of operators and engineers who watched our own parents get older while our weeks got shorter. We're not building this from a venture deck β€” we're building it because the gap is real in our own families and the existing options don't fit.

The founding moment.

It was a Sunday. The third Sunday in a row that started with β€œI'll call mom today” and ended with another 8:47 PM β€œI love you, sorry it's late, talk tomorrow.” We started looking at what was on the market. A device for $249 that needed WiFi she didn't have. An app she'd never open. A check-in service we didn't trust with her voice. None of it was the thing we actually needed: someone we trusted, calling her, every day, telling us how she was. So we started building it.

How we work.

Three things govern decisions here. First: we don't sell, share, or train on the calls. Their voice belongs to them. Second: we won't automate love β€” Herbie isn't a replacement for you, and the moment a feature would let you stop calling, we don't ship it. Third: we're transparent about what Herbie is. It's a real warm voice powered by AI β€” not a person, not a robot β€” and we say that to every parent before the first call.

One inbox: hello@callherbie.com. We read everything. If you joined the waitlist, replying to your confirmation email goes to the same place. We'd rather have a small number of conversations we actually answer than a contact form that goes nowhere.
